The Dangers about NGV and LPG.

Is NGV or LPG dangerous?
NGV or LPG is very safe if you follow the safety rules and use it according to listed specifications
Every product has its uses. LPG is gas meant for cooking. NGV is used in Cars as alternative fuel.
The LPG Cylinder can have a pressure from 150 PSI, The NGV cylinder can have a pressure from 3500 PSI.

LPG in Malaysia is not the required gas to be installed in cars.
There are some people in Malaysia who think they can install LPG cylinder instead of a NGV cylinder.
Or there are people who like to increase the gas capacity by adding a LPG on top of the NGV cylinder.
Here some pictures from cars that used cooking gas instead of NGV.

Safety.
As shown, the cylinder is only tighten with an elastic band.
When there is a collision, the cylinder will fly through the car, knock off your head, and will kill other passengers as well.
Maybe you will survive but there is more to expect !
The gas will be released by the broken host and if there are survivors they will inhale the gas.
At the end a big explosion will definitive end your/their life.
Isn't that stupid !

Fill up at a NGV station.

Now it's getting tricky.
Instead of risking your own life, you may also cause serious injuries or death to others around the pump.
As already said, the pressure from a NGV cylinder is 20 x higher.
Don't carry explosive stuff in the trunk !
Don't smoke cigarettes while you or somebody else is filling up.
Don't let the engine run while you are filling up.
Look at below pictures how stupidity can cause severe damages to oneself or others.

My Advise:

Follow the law.

Visit a Licensed NGV installer to install your kit.

Your family and yourself are safe
